From Orphaned Student to Science Teacher

"Education opened the door to a future I never imagined possible."
Jemimah Kemunto's journey is a powerful testimony to what can happen when a child is given hope, an education, and the opportunity to succeed. Beginning as a student at Glorious Group of Schools, Jemimah received the encouragement and educational foundation that helped her pursue her dream of becoming a teacher.
Through the support of Project Restore Hope and the leadership of Bishop Bonface Mang'eti, she continued her education through secondary school and eventually earned admission to the University of Nairobi. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Science), specializing in Mathematics and Physics.
Today she lives in Ruai, Kenya, and is preparing to begin her professional career as an educator while awaiting a government teaching appointment. Although she has completed her university education, Jemimah continues to face challenges. Without a personal computer, she relies on cyber cafés and mobile data to prepare lessons, complete professional work, and continue learning. Even so, she remains grateful for the opportunities she has been given and is determined to use her education to inspire the next generation.
Reflecting on her journey, Jemimah shared: "I would be honored if you could use my story to encourage others to support children through education." Her life demonstrates that when people invest in a child's education, the impact continues long after graduation.
Today's student becomes tomorrow's teacher, mentor, and leader. Jemimah's story is one of perseverance, gratitude, and hope. She represents the lasting impact of Project Restore Hope and the countless lives that can be transformed through education.
