How it all began.

It all begins with a medical mission trip to Mukuru in 2007. Dr. Michelle Scott went on a 7-day mission trip with her church with the hopes to make a medical difference. She left with a new desire in her heart to help this church community that was led by such a reliable man of God Pastor Boneface Mangetti.

While working in the slums it was very evident that little of the money ever reach the people in need. At that time President Bush was investing a tremendous amount of money in Africa due to a. As I traveled throughout the slums there was almost no evidence of how that money was being spent. people in Nairobi were being tested on a regular basis for AIDS and if they tested positive they would lose their jobs and end up in the slums.

Pastor Boneface's love of God was evident in the love he had for the people in the slums of Mukuru. He had started a school and church, when I would arrive in the morning for my medical missions work the teachers were already working, and when I left at the end of the day many were still working, with almost no pay. When I arrived there were about 60 students grade school students attending glorious land Academy.
