My name is Stecy Muhatia, and I am 20 years old. I am pursuing Catering and Accommodation at Rift Valley National Polytechnic. My dream is to complete my training, build a successful career, support my family, and create a better future for myself.

I was born and raised in Molo, Nakuru County, by both of my parents. I began my primary education at St. Mary’s Primary School in Molo and later joined Siwot Girls High School for my secondary education. Through hard work, I achieved the grade that enabled me to continue with my education and pursue a course in Catering and Accommodation.

Unfortunately, after completing my first semester, I was forced to defer my studies because of financial difficulties. My family comes from a humble background, and my parents have been struggling to raise school fees for both my siblings and me. They work hard and hope that through education, their children will have better opportunities and be able to improve our family’s situation in the future.

Having to leave college was painful because I felt that the dreams and plans I had for my future were slipping away. I did not want to give up, however. When I heard about Gloha Family Welfare, I encouraged my father to join and seek financial assistance so that I could have a chance to return to school.

I am now reaching out with hope to Gloha Family Welfare and Project Restore Hope, under the leadership of Bishop Bonface Mange’ti, for support toward my education. Their intervention would give me another chance to continue the journey I started and work toward the future I have always dreamed of.

I believe that with the right support, I can complete my studies and build a better life for myself and my family. I am ready to work hard and make good use of every opportunity given to me.
